This class is scheduled for the second day of the Jewish New Year. I would otherwise attend. Is there any way I can get the materials, a web version of the class, or some other method of gaining this knowledge that I so desperately need ASAP as I will have to make displays as soon as the library is renovated.

You can contact John Sullivan, Head of the Imaging Dept. at The Huntington Library to discuss the duplication of your catalog, jsullivan@huntington.org, and there are several conservators there who can give you advice on the conservation of your catalog.

I own a rare catalog, issued by B. Barling & Sons in the 1920′s, which I would like to have photographed, conserved, and duplicated. The catalog is in a fragile state and needs careful handling. It may be the only extant full copy.
I purchased it from a retired director of the company. A search using Worldcat did not turn up any listings, so it’s rare, to say the least. Can you offer me any contacts to services in the Los Angeles area?
